If you didn’t know I was lazy before…

by E.P. on June 10, 2009

ME: “I wish I could teach Lucy how to vaccum up all her hair because it’s obnoxious.”

MY BOY: “…”

ME: “You know the allergist said I need to vacuum once a day? It’d probably be more manageable if I did it, but vacuuming still sucks. I wish she could clean up after herself. Or iron my clothes.”

MY BOY: “I wish we would teach Lucy how to talk so we could finally know what’s going through her crazy little head.”

Hahahah! SO many times have I told Eric that I wish Adley and Radish would just learn to get their own food. I’ll settle for learning to pee outside only though…

ashley June 10, 2009 at 9:31 am

hahaha if you ever get her to do so, please send her my way!! I’m still trying to get my friends baby who likes to vaccuum over to my house to clean. If I succeed, I’ll so send him your way.

yes and yes. though if dogs start talking…we’ll probably just want them to stop talking because of all the thoughts, haha.

Put a Roomba on your Christmas/Birthday list! Do regular vacuuming once a week or so, then run the Roomba each day for “maintenance” vacuuming.

Andrea June 10, 2009 at 11:15 am

You should totally get a Roomba! Not only because it would be good for your allergies, but also because then you’d own a robot. Which is pretty awesome.

Just the other night I told Irish it would be great if Jack could speak so I would know what his random whines, barks and gutteral humming means. It hasn’t happened yet.

Habbala June 10, 2009 at 12:02 pm

One word, ROOMBA. I use mine all the time and it does REALLY well with the cat hair from my two cats! It’s totally worth the investment, especially if you have allergy issues!

If pets could talk, I think humans would be humbled. (Can one BE humbled? If not, now they can. According to Nilsa!)

maris June 10, 2009 at 12:35 pm

Damn those pets who don’t know how to clean up after themselves!

MinD June 10, 2009 at 12:44 pm

And to that I say a big, huge DITTO! Sophie sheds like no other, and it’d be sweeeeeet if she could clean up after herself. Or stop shedding. Either one.

I want to know what my dog is thinking too! One day she is going to talk to me- I just know it! ;-)

Reeder's Corner June 10, 2009 at 5:22 pm

Wouldn’t it be nice if animals cleaned up after themselves… hahahaha good luck with the training ;)

AuburnKat June 10, 2009 at 7:23 pm

I always talk to my cats and I really wish they could talk back to me! I also wish they would clean their liter box!

Susan June 10, 2009 at 9:04 pm

I just became a cat person and I talk to them as if they will talk back!

Glad you had a great time in Vegas, it sounded so fun!

Caz June 10, 2009 at 9:43 pm

hahah! Oh I wish Gary could talk sometimes. I’m sure it’d be hilarious.

I also wish he could wash dishes, as that’s the chore I hate most. Vacuuming I can live with.

Andrea June 10, 2009 at 10:39 pm

Hehe, amusing. So many mysteries would be solved if my dogs could talk.

sleepyjane June 11, 2009 at 2:57 am

I ask my dogs how their day has been, like they’re going to answer me back.

Just needed to throw that out there.

And I also wish Lila and Rusty could pick up after themselves. It would be awesome.

ria June 11, 2009 at 7:22 am

wouldn’t it be the best if they could do the housework while we were at work?!

Erin June 11, 2009 at 9:48 am

I tell my dogs every day that they need to clean up their dog hair while I’m at work. They never do. I also always ask Kaya to go let Rufus out when I’m too lazy to get up. She doesn’t do that either!

Cee June 11, 2009 at 7:05 pm

I wish my dog could talk… that would be teh awesome! She is so confusing sometimes.

Jamie June 12, 2009 at 9:28 am

Haha, this is great! I need to get a pet and teach it to talk! :)

Jessica June 14, 2009 at 8:38 pm

That’s hilarious. Could Lucy do dishes for me too? Miss you!

Andrea June 15, 2009 at 8:11 pm

This made me chuckle! I wish I could teach my boyfriend to vacuum!

Beware the Roomba – it handled my basset hound okay, but once my Shepard came into the picture it self-destructed.
