I spent Thursday to Monday in my hometown, soaking in time with my mother, father and the boy who made his way to town Friday on his way back to school. We had a fabulous time. There IS a post coming from the weekend and one detailing the experience my friends and I had last night at a local watering hole, even though I’m not sure what to think of it.

But since I’m a little pressed for time, let’s think about some grace in small things today.

1. My boy learned he got a summer clerkship today!
2. Our summer trip to California may still be on depending on exactly when he starts work
3. Having a break in the middle of the day
4. Being pleasantly surprised by (celebrity) Jeopardy today
5. The way Lucy looks when she mock barks at me
