I’m officially on my weekend, and I couldn’t be happier. Lucy and I have been napping on the couch all morning, and I am eventually going to find the drive to get up, get dressed and go to the allergy clinic for my weekly shots.
Until then, though, I’m relaxing.
Friday sucked. We already established that. But the upside of that day was Saturday and Sunday were a breeze.
That camping and fishing assignment at a state park? I want to go. (And I’m not even a campy kind of girl!) Baseball? Sign me up! (I just don’t want to get hit. Again.) A beauty pageant? Sure! (As long as I can talk with a TV person about those two times I was in one. In high school.) And a drag race? Why the hell not?
The writer and I actually went back and forth yesterday with, “It could be worse. We could be covering _____.” (You fill in the blank. It could always be worse.)
I even made some new friends at the track and almost was slammed by an out of control hotrod. I’m thankful the latter didn’t happen.
So, while crappy days are not fun, the days after can be wonderful. Mine were. And now, I’m relaxing with my favorite pup.
Life is good again.

I'm E.P. I have stylish handwriting. I enjoy a nice cappuccino in the morning. And I am fascinated with capturing life as it is.
