Hahaha, FABULOUS (and crazy) story.

Growing up we had a basketball court in our backyard, which my dad hosed down and turned into a skating rink in the winter. Rocked for sure!

The picture is too much - adorable!!

You guys look adorable! :)

I suppose I can be thankful that we have great weather here in SA. It never really snows here - not where I live. And our winters are probably mild next to yours.

Oh my god I totally remember that! The trees in our front yard looked like they were covered in crystals, and I remember how low the branches hung to the ground! I remember most of the city being without electricity for days, and losing trees. Thanks for the reminder!

I grew up in NJ so I doubt we're thinking of the same storm but we had a HUGE snow/ice storm in 94. We had school closed for an entire week!

Wow what a story! I should re-tell my version of Oregon's big flood of 96 sometime because that one was huge. No showers for 5 days because of no power. Enough said.

Ah, Ice Storm '94! I even got a T-shirt that said that, I don't remember what it was from... anyway. We lost two trees at our house, medium-sized ones that just got cut down in the aftermath. More interestingly to you, perhaps, is a huge old oak tree at Grandma n Grandpa's house crashed through the roof of the pool room - took out most of the roof, a lot of slate tiles on the floor got cracked/broken etc, for a while there was basically a huge tree trunk extending out from the pool (now quite muddy/dirty)... looked kindof cool, in a wierd way. I remember some playing but not much, mostly trying to figure out how to cook/eat without electricity... I cannot for the life of me remember what I/we did for amusement. I guess I was more worried about food, ha ;) We built lots of fires in the fireplace tho.
