Last week, this week and next week have been/are going to be absolutely crazy. The 10-day work stint starts today, and I have a feeling it’s going to be different than the last one (since there was a hurricane on the last one.)
This weekend (the real one, then my fake one) exemplified the craziness.
- Friday night’s football game? So cold. (OK, I realize not cold to most of you, but still.) I hadn’t had the foresight to place my winter gear (see: gloves, scarves, hand warmers, fluffy socks) into my car before the game, so I couldn’t feel my fingers by the end. And my friend who works for the TV station here offered me one of her gloves because she felt bad for me. “Which hand is the one that does the most work?” – “What?” – “Which hand? Which is more important? Because I’m going to give you one of my gloves. That’s how much our friendship means to me.”
- Friday night, I bought ‘Womanizer.’ The song grew on me, but actually buying it makes me feel LAME.
- I signed up for Nanowrimo Saturday morning. I suddenly had the urge to write, and maybe since I’m not in school and juggling that with multiple jobs, I can actually get it done. We shall see.
- I spent Saturday night tromping around a haunted house run by a local high school choir. It was actually scary. They put me in with a group of kids going through and stuck me by the guide. And after the tour was over, he took me back into the haunted house/barn to snap some more photos of people being scared. The only negative? I ruined a pair of shoes because I slipped into a pond in the barn.
- Lucy Belle and I went running Monday night. It was the first time in a long time I was able to run without hobbling along because of my knees.
- I sent in my absentee ballot!
- The broadcast friend and I traveled down to the coast yesterday to buy some winter clothing at the outlets. We both found some good deals, and I know I’ll be a little warmer now since I have some winter-y clothes that fit.
- There was and is still some frost on the roof of the apartment across the way from mine. Fall is officially taking root in Southern Mississippi. Yes!
That’s pretty much all I got. What about you?

I'm E.P. I have stylish handwriting. I enjoy a nice cappuccino in the morning. And I am fascinated with capturing life as it is.
