Dear Broadcast Broad,

by E.P. on March 7, 2008

Let’s face it — no one enjoys working in groups. Inevitably, someone ends up having to do ALL the work. And that someone right now? Oh, ME. (And Lexi).

I’m not happy, btw.

I realize you’re a busy video camera chick who doesn’t have time to attend ANY GROUP MEETING (except one). And I understand that we, as college seniors, don’t have the drive or the desire to work in a team.

But this is the card we’ve been dealt, and you HAVE to suck it up. Because the whole never showing up and being really sketchy about everything isn’t productive. And because part of the rest of our grades depend on you.

I didn’t choose you to be in my group, you know. I didn’t mean to be sick the day they were chosen. And now I’m stuck with you and your crappy attitude.

You are making my opinion of broadcast journalists sink to an all-time low. And, for the record, my opinion of your kind was never that positive.

Oh, yeah. And your story ideas SUCK.

Just thought you should know.

Kindest regards,
E.P.

Girl, group work sucks! They say it is supossed to prepare us for “the work enviornment”. That is crap! The only work enviornment I have encountered so far is step on the lowest to get to the highest, I pretend to be a feminist but I will cut the woman’s throat next to me to climb my way to the top, and let’s talk about everyone else behind their back and see how little work we can do. Yeah, that is about the same thing as group work.

So sorry! Good luck!
