Stylish Handwriting

Something about music and movies brings so many people together. That can be seen from tonight at the Oscars.

One of my favorite moments?

Marketa Irglova’s acceptance speech for Best Song. (You can read her and Glen’s entire speeches there).

But the part that gave me chills was when she spoke about the song itself.

“And this song was written from a perspective of hope, and hope at the end of the day connects us all, no matter how different we are. And so thank you so much, who helped us along way. Thank you.”

If you haven’t seen Once, you need to see it.

Just listen to “Falling Slowly.” It’s one of those songs that can change your life.

Anne - I love the movie so much, too. It's gorgeous, and the soundtrack blows me away every time I listen to it.

They really did deserve it, and I am so happy Jon walked her out to give her speech. It was byfar my favorite of the night.

Maxie -- I know, I hated it, too, and am so happy they let her speak. Welcome to the blog!

I hate how they turned her mic off! I'm so glad they brought her back on to speak.

    I found you through 20sb :-)

I love love loved that movie and could watch it over and over. It is so beautiful!

I watched every second of the Oscars and was hoping so badly they would win - they so deserved it!

And I was so glad that Jon Stewart asked her to come out and give her speech - she spoke from the heart and it was great.
